Privacy policy
Your information. Your control.
This policy explains what Kynuvo collects, why it is needed, where it is processed and the choices available to you.
Effective 14 September 2026. This policy applies to the Kynuvo website, installed mobile applications and associated services. “Kynuvo”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the Kynuvo service operator identified in your app-store listing or subscription receipt.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide, including your name, email address, date of birth, mobile number, optional address and emergency contact, authentication details, profile photograph, training preferences and support communications.
Fitness and sensitive health information may include workouts, repetitions, weights, active exercise time, recovery responses, progress photographs, body measurements, body composition, steps, sleep and resting heart rate. Apple Health and Health Connect records are accessed only after you choose the categories to share.
We also collect limited technical information needed to secure and operate the service, such as registered-device identifiers, sign-in security events, application diagnostics and synchronization timestamps. Optional Australian street-address suggestions use Google Maps. After focusing the street field, the address text you type is sent to Google to find suggestions. Choose “Use manual entry only” before typing to avoid these searches. Google's Privacy Policy also applies. We do not send workout or health information to Google for address suggestions or use health information for advertising.
2. How information is collected
Optional hands-free workout controls use your microphone only after you connect it in a workout or choose a microphone practice test in Profile, and grant the required permissions. The installed iOS and Android apps require on-device speech recognition. In the PWA, your browser may send audio to its speech provider, subject to that provider’s processing and retention policies; this is disclosed before connecting. Kynuvo does not record, store or upload audio or transcripts to its servers. Recognised commands are processed temporarily to control the workout. During a practice test, the last phrase and recognised-command checklist appear temporarily on screen, without changing a workout; starting a new session or leaving the screen clears them. Your hands-free preference and resulting workout updates are saved with your account. Turn off the microphone at any time or revoke permission in device/browser settings. Listening stops when you leave the foreground workout/test or the listening window ends. A practice test lasts up to 30 seconds; live workout listening lasts up to five minutes.
Information is collected directly from you, from your use of Kynuvo, and—only with permission—from services you connect, such as Apple Health, Health Connect, Google or Apple sign-in. We do not purchase personal or health information from data brokers.
3. Why we use it
- create and secure your account;
- save and synchronize workouts and preferences;
- provide progress, consistency and recovery views;
- adapt training suggestions using information you choose to provide;
- send requested reminders and service messages;
- prevent subscription and account misuse;
- respond to support, privacy and safety requests; and
- meet legal, security and app-store obligations.
Kynuvo’s adaptive recommendations are fitness guidance. They are not medical decisions and are not used to determine eligibility for employment, insurance, credit or essential services.
4. Health integrations and photographs
The installed app may read approved body measurements, activity, workouts, sleep and resting heart rate and may write workouts completed in Kynuvo. Permissions can be changed in Apple Health, Health Connect or device settings. Disconnecting stops new access but does not automatically delete information already synchronized to Kynuvo.
Progress photographs are used for private, user-requested comparisons such as matched outlines and posture observations. They are not used for facial recognition, advertising or training general-purpose AI models. Observations are neutral, confidence-qualified estimates rather than medical assessments.
Recent imported health records are also saved in device-local app storage, separately for each signed-in account, even when private cloud sync is off. The local snapshot contains up to 30 days and 5,000 records; expired records are removed when the repository is next accessed. Signing out hides this history without deleting it. You can remove it under Profile’s Connected health section. Account deletion removes the current device’s local copy; copies on other devices must be cleared on those devices. Browser or app data clearing and storage eviction may remove local history. Local storage is not an encrypted health vault and depends on your device’s security.
5. Storage, security and overseas processing
Kynuvo uses access controls, authenticated accounts, encrypted network connections and account-scoped cloud storage. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so keep your password and devices protected and contact support if you suspect unauthorized access.
Cloud, authentication, maps, application-security and app-store providers may process information in Australia and other countries where they operate, including the United States. Their locations and subprocessors can change. We take reasonable steps appropriate to the service to require protections consistent with this policy and applicable Australian privacy requirements.
6. Disclosure
We disclose information only to service providers acting for Kynuvo, when you direct or consent to a connection, when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, or when required or authorized by law. We do not sell personal or health information and do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain account information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution and backups. Different records may have different retention periods. You can correct profile information in Kynuvo, remove optional information, disconnect health integrations and request account deletion from Profile or the account-deletion page. Deletion may not affect de-identified information or records we must retain by law.
8. Access, correction and complaints
You may request access to or correction of personal information and make a privacy complaint through Kynuvo account support in Profile. Include the email address associated with your account and enough detail to understand the request. We will verify identity and respond within a reasonable period. If an Australian privacy complaint remains unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
9. Children
Kynuvo is intended for adults. Do not create an account if you are under 18. We do not knowingly seek health information from children. Contact account support if you believe a child has provided personal information.
10. Cookies and local storage
Kynuvo uses essential browser storage, authentication state and security technologies to keep you signed in, save device preferences and prevent abuse. We do not currently use non-essential advertising cookies. If optional analytics or marketing technologies are introduced, Kynuvo will provide any notice or consent required before enabling them.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Kynuvo changes. Material changes will be presented in the app and, where required, renewed acceptance will be requested. The effective date above identifies the current version. For privacy questions, access, correction or complaints, use Kynuvo account support from Profile. Business and legal contact details will also appear in the applicable app-store listing and subscription receipt.
